USING DSP – PATTY STAMPS STYLE

Hello to each of you. I am so pleased that you have popped by to see my latest project.

Over the next few posts, I will be sharing some projects featuring the, now unavailable, Sale-a-bration PAPER BLOOMS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER.

This card follows a Patty Bennett DSP technique. I used a 12″ long piece of paper, cut to 5-5/8″. Along the 12″ side, I scored it at 4″, 7″ and 10″.

This is a great technique for Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Paper because, almost all papers, are double sided. This means that for each different sheet two coordinating designs will be featured.

Once the card is opened, it is easy to pop a piece of Basic White card stock for you to write your greeting.

The birthday greeting, from the PRETTY PERENNIALS STAMP SET, was stamped and then cut using the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES. I was then able to adhere a length of Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon behind the die cut sentiment. Then I glued a second die cut piece to enclose the ribbon. I popped some Stampin’ Dimensionals behind one half of the panel and positioned it on the front of the card.

I hope that you were able to secure your own pack of this Sale-a-bration FREE paper because it is so pretty and so much fun to play with.

What was your favourite product from the Sale-a-bration Brochure?

Happy stamping.

SNAILED IT GIFT CARDS

Hello to each of you – my wonderful crafters who pop by to see what I have been up to. I truly appreciate that you do.

After sharing my 3″x 3″ HEY CHICK and HEY BIRTHDAY CHICK GIFT CARDS BOX on Monday, I decided to make a similar collection using the SNAILED IT BUNDLE – the SNAILED IT STAMP SET and coordinating SNAIL DIES.

These 3-1/8″x 3-1/8″ ACETATE CARD BOXES are very useful. They can fit four cards and envelopes easily. My previous project had eight gift cards, so the envelopes were placed behind the box and secured with a twine bow.

For this box of gift cards, I used White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to finish off the presentation. The ribbon was secured to the bottom of the Acetate Box with some STAMPI’ SEAL +. Then I made a panel to pop onto the front of the box, popped up with dimensionals.

These are the four gift cards I made. I wanted to focus on stamping and colouring, using the Stampin’ Blends. I am pleased that I made three Basic White cards and one Poppy Parade card.

I used most of the colours from the BRIGHTS family for this project – I wanted it to bright and playful.

Here’s a closer look at each of them. The snails are soooooo cute!

I think that I might make an additional four gift cards and use the SNAIL MAIL DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. This will then give me another bundle of eight fun gift cards.

So – which is your favourite?

Happy stamping – and, colouring.

ICE CREAM CORNER

Hello – welcome! Thank you for popping by. I hope that you like today’s Blog Hop project.

It’s Wednesday – so it’s time for a FRESHLY BREWED PROJECTS BLOG HOP. This week’s theme is ICE CREAM CORNER.

No photo description available.

This is such a colourful and fun collection of products.

ICE CREAM CORNER SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

I have been making a lot more fun fold cards recently and decided to make one for this project. Now, this is going to sound all a bit ‘politically correct’ but I am going to name this card a tripod card because I really think calling it a ‘teepee’ card is a bit outdated.

So, here it is.

Isn’t it bright and colourful? One of the things I like about our Stampin’ Blends is that I can colour match ribbon if there is a pen in that colour. I used the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend for this project.

I made a custom envelope for the card because it is larger than usual.

The three pieces of card stock I used were cut to 5″x 5″ and scored diagonally. The hypotenuse is 7″, so the card definitely needed a larger envelope.

You can never have too scoops of ice cream on your cone or too many ice creams on your birthday. The ICE CREAM CORNER DESIGNER SERIES PAPER is a treat to create with. And, of course, you have to pop sprinkles on top.
