CHRISTMAS FAVOURS

Hello! Thank you for popping by today. I hope you like the project I have to share with you.

After yesterday’s ‘Bring on Christmas’ post, I thought that I would stay on theme today. So, I decided to use the new Pretty Pillow Box Dies that is available to customers from August 3rd.

For many, many years I have made my own Christmas bonbons or favours boxes to place on our Christmas table. So, here is one for 2021.

It is a super cute little pillow box measuring 3-1/2″x 2″. I was going to pop some Hershey Kisses chocolates inside the box but my recently purchased packet seems to have grown feet (hmmm – I have a suspect in mind!).

I cut the pillow box using the soon to be available Kraft 6″x 6″ Paper. After I assembled the box, I created a little bellyband to hold the flap in place. Then I used the new Snowy White Velvet Sheet to cut several flowers, in the two sizes.

These flowers were then attached to the bellyband and the right hand side of the pillow box, using Mini Glue Dots. Then I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set and cut it using another die from the pillow box set. I cut a length of Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon and secured it through the space at the top of the tag. This tag was then adhered onto the bellyband.

Finally, I attached several Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the centre of the flowers and onto the tag. This is a very cute little pillow box and will look lovely on our Christmas lunch table. (I’ve already ordered 3kg of prawns – super organised!).

Here is a photo of some of the new products that I won’t be able to include in the shopping cart area below, until after the catalogue is live to customers.

What do you have on your Christmas table?

Happy stamping.

If you live in Australia, you can order any of the products I used to make this card by going to my online store. Just click on any of the images below.

Because some of the products I have used to make this card are not yet available to customers, I am not able to show them at this time. As soon as product images go live, I will create this section.

BRING ON CHRISTMAS

Hello and welcome to today’s Christmas in July project. Thank you for popping by.

With only 5 months and 3 days until Christmas, I thought that I would share a new card using some of the new products that will be available from early August.

I used the Sweets & Treats and Classic Cloche Stamp Sets for this one. The first thing I did was choose the Designer Series Paper and colours that I wanted to use. The DSP is from the Tidings of Christmas 6″x 6″ DSP. The colours I used were Basic White, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Shaded Spruce.

I started by stamping, colouring and fussy cutting the pudding, cloche dome and cake stand. Then I stamped the pudding onto the card base several times.

A piece of DSP was attached to a panel of Shaded Spruce cardstock. I trimmed it back to achieve this irregular rhombus before adhering it to the card base.

I added the pudding and stand to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Some Clear Wink of Stella was added white pudding top, holly leaves and cake stand. I used some Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels for the ‘holly berries’ and the ‘mixed dried fruit’ in the pudding.

The pudding image was also stamped inside the card and onto the envelope. Finally, I tied a bow using Metallic Mesh Ribbon and secured it to the cake stand with a Mini GLue Dot.

I think that you are going like these two new stamp sets – I know that I am looking forward to creating more projects using them.

What do you think? How would you use this card? I think that it would make a great family Christmas invitiation.

Happy stamping.

FUN WITH PATTERNED PAPER

Hello and welcome! I am so delighted that you have popped by today. It is Wednesday and it is time for another Freshly Brewed Project Blog Hop.

This week’s theme is Fun with Patterned Paper. I decided to play with one of the amazing FREE Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper packs – Penguin Playmates 12″x 12″ DSP. If you live in Australia, you can ‘earn’ this DSP pack with a minimum $90 order.

For this card, there is not a penguin in site. I used the alternate designs to create this card.

I know that I should be able to tell you the ‘right’ name for this card style, but I’m really not sure. The photos should tell you everything you need to know.

The small front panel has a layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock with several triangular pieces of the DSP radiating from the centre.

The greeting, from the In Symmetry Stamp Set, was stamped and fussy cut. Then I added trimmed Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop each word up to achieve height. The fianl touch, for this layer, was to add a few Opal Rounds.

When the smaller front layer is opened, you will find the full card front and the inside of the front flap, which can hold a gift card.

When the card front is opened, there is the card insert – a perfect place to write your message to the recipient of the gift card.

I finished the envelope with one of the die cut triangular pieces of DSP.

The sentiment, ‘Best Day Ever’, is perfect for so many different occasions. And, on those occasions, a gift card can be the perfect present.

How would you use these products? What would it look like?

Make sure that you pop by and see what the other Freshly Brewed Project team members have created:
