mmm...Stampin' Time

Today’s card, using the Back on Your Feet Stamp Set, features the image of a turtle on its shell with its feet flailing about in the air.

I chose a Basic White card base and decided Mossy Meadow would be a great colour for this card.

The Mossy Meadow layer was given texture by using the checks folder from the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders.

The turtle was stamped using the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then coloured using Stampin’ Blends. I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the image.

I also used the Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend to colour some white Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack. The twine was then wrapped around the Basic Whiye layer and tied in a knot.

The sentiment was stamped and cut using the same Stitched Rectangle Die but was cut a second time to make it a smaller size.

‘Ouch’ was stamped inside the card and on the envelope.

I used coordinating Stampin’ Blends to colour the some of the round silver Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials. They were then added to the front of the card.

It has been fun using this stamp set because the images are perfect to bring a smile to the face of the person in need of cheering up.

I have a third card to share with you tomorrow and I hope that like it.

I was delighted to be invited as a Guest Designer for the Colour INKspiration Challenge #111.

It provided me with a great reason to use one of the stamp sets and coordinaitng dies that I have not used yet. My goal is to ensure that I have NO products on my shelves that I have not used before the January – June Mini Catalogue is ‘open for ordering’.

This project is very different to my recent Challenge entries. It is more like a scene and I am very pleased with it. I used the Welcoming Window Bundle.

It has been such a long time since I have used Very Vanilla in a card base rather than Basic White.

I decided to use Crumb Cake as the card base colour. Then I swiped some Crumb Cake ink across the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder and ran the Very Vanilla card through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. This resulted in the colour being transferred onto the cardstock as the brick pattern was embossed.

I used a die from the Window Flower Box Dies to cut out the window pane.

A piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was stamped with the panelled window image. The bottom half of the window was cut away so that I could add some folded Evening Evergreen Cotton Paper to create a curtain.

I stamped and cut the Soft Succulent shutters before attaching them to each side of the window. The shutter latches were cut from Crumb Came card that had Adhesive Sheet attached – this made it so easy to place them on the shutters. Then I added the embossed and cut window box.

I stamped and cut the flower jug and added some die cut leaf stems. I used one of the branches from the Forever Flourishing Dies for these stems.

The pots were die cut and I used a Blending Brush to brush Crumb Cake over them. The jug, pots and shutters had Clear Wink of Stella painted across them.

I used two of the greeting stamps for the sentiment.

The Evening Evergreen plants were cut using a die from the Perfect Plants Dies. I planted them in two of the pots and tucked the third behind one of pots.

I also stamped one of the pots on the card insert and envelope.

Wow – I used three die sets to cut out the various elements that are on the card.

The Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop theme this week is Traditional Christmas. So we will share projects for Christmas using traditional colours.

For my project I opted for Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen and gold.

I used a few different products from the July – December Mini Catalogue – Holly Jolly Stamp Set, Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, Painted Christmas 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper, Gold Holly Leaves, Gold Shimmer Vellum and the Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon. I also used some of the Evening Evergreen Cotton Paper from the Eden’s Garden Early Release Collection.

The piece of Designer Series Paper was embossed and cut using the Hybrid Embossing Folder and coordinating detailed die. I also cut two outline pieces using the Gold Shimmer Vellum and Evening Evergreen Cotton Paper. These three pieces were layered and then secured on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I gathered up three lengths of the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Metallic Ribbon and created the three ribbon wreaths that I tucked in under the paper layers. The wreaths were secured using Mini Glue Dots.

The Christmas greeting is from the Holly Jolly Stamp Set and was stamped using Cherry Cobbler. The stitched rectangle, from the Hybrid Embossing Folder bundle, was used to cut the greeting.

I took several of the Gold Holly Leaves and placed them over some of the embossed and die cut leaves. One was also added to the envelope and inside the card.

The final step was to add some of the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front and inside the card.
