TIME FOR TECHNIQUE THIS TUESDAY

I have shared projects that I have made using masks before but today’s is a little different.

This time I used the lattice die from the Organic Beauty Dies as my mask/stencil. As you can see I taped down the die onto a piece of Basic White card and then used one of my Blending Brushes to blend Granny Apple Green across the card.

After I finished colouring the card stock, I removed the masking tape and trimmed it for the card front.

The flowers were stamped on Basic White card and White Vellum then heat embossed using white embossing powder. The flowers and leaves were then die cut and arranged on the front of the card.

The greeting was also hear embossed before being cut. The Banner Pick a Punch was ideal for finishing this element.

I added some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to give the card some bling.

I cut two lengths of white twine, from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, and pulled them apart into single strands. Then I tied them into a bow before securing it with a Mini Glue Dot.

Now I need to go and look at the rest of my dies to see which ones I can use in the same way.

Tomorrow is Wednesday and time to share some challenge projects.

Until then, happy stamping.

MEMORIES ON MONDAY (a wee bit late)

This week’s layout was finished yesterday but I didn’t quite get around to photographing it – so here it is now.

The Beauty Abounds Suite is perfect for scrapbooking because the images, in this piece of Designer Series Paper, are large and colourful.

I stamped the image directly onto the 12″x 12″ Balmy Blue cardstock (retired) using the same coloured ink.

The name of the Suite inspired the title for this page. Now to find a photo of my daughters to add to the page.

I used the Alphabest Stamp Set and coordinating Best Label Punch for the title.

It doesn’t take much to make a lovely scrapbook layout when the paper and stamps do all the work.

I’m so pleased with this layout. What do you think?

There will a second post today for my Technique Tuesday project. Phew – back on track.

Until then, happy stamping.

A WONDERFUL WEEKEND TO SHARE #simplestamping AND STEPPED UP CARDS

This week I am featuring the Awash in Beauty Suite from the 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue.

AWASH IN BEAUTY SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

So, let’s start with some #simplestamping samples. These are some the products used to make the first two cards.

I love the new Rose Gold & White Striped Ribbon.

Super simple – notecard and envelope, two inks and four stamps.

Add some ribbon, cut out the greeting, pop it on a piece of Designer Series Paper and use some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To step things up a little – add some more colours, tools, ribbon and embellishments.

I used the stamps to create my own background paper. I tied a bow in a length of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon and wrapped it around the stamped base layer. Then I stamped and cut the flower and leaves that sit up from the card front thanks to Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped, trimmed down and added to the front of the card. I coloured some Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels using the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend pen.

I chose two of the DSP designs for this card. After adhering them to the card front, I stamped and cut three flowers and added them. I coloured a length of the Glittered Organdy Ribbon using the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend pen, tied it in a bow and used a Mini Glue Dot to secure it to the card.

The Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend pen was perfect to colour some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to coordinate with the DSP.

Now for the final card.

This card features five of the DSP designs. They were cut into 1″ strips and had a banner end punched before they were adhered to the card.

I stamped and die cut the floral images to pop up on the card using dimensionals.

And, just like the last two cards, I coloured some of the Iridescent Pearls and added them to the card as three pairs.

Tomorrow is Monday Memories, so drop in a see what I have created.

Until then, happy stamping.
