YOU ARE JUST MY TYPE

I made these cards for my Coffee & Card Class this week.

It was time to share with the ladies, in attendance, the magic of the Stamparatus and the hinge step technique. Although the Stamparatus is now retired, I will help any of them to find one that someone has to sell.

As you can see, the two samples I made vary in the colours I used and some of the stamps from the set.

I chose Lost Lagoon, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat. The trim is from the 2023-2025 In Colour Jute Trim and the bling is from the the same In Colour Dots.

The paper in the typewriter is longer than the image on the stamp. Fortunately, because it is a photopolymer stamp, I was able to turn it around and stamp the paper a second time. THis gave me more space to stamp the words and images.

Three lengths of Pebbpled Path jute trim were wrapped around the Basic White layer and secured with Tear & Tape.

Then I tied a shorter length of the same trim across the three stands. Then I added a length of a different colour and tied a bow.

I like the way the jute trim holds the curls from being wrapped around the cylinder.

After the paper was stamped and adhered behind the typewriter rollers, I used a matching Stampin’Write Marker™ to draw in the missing sides.

There are so many colour combinations that could be used with this layout and product bundle.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #404 – CASE THE DESIGNER

I think that it has been at least a year since I last shared a project on the GDP site.

This week’s challenge is CASE the Designer.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

For my project, I have ‘copied’ the circle element of the design and the use of a gift package.

I featured the Supremely Awesome Stamp Set and created a pizza box as the packaging.

The pizza box measures 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ x 1″.

I used Poppy Parade ink to stamp the checked strips. After trimming them, they were framed on 4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

This panel was then adhered to the box lid.

The pizza chef was stamped in Memento and then his cuffs and belt were coloured using the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend pen. Then he was fussy cut.

The pizza was coloured using Stampin’ Blends in Dark Gray Granite, Dark Lemon Lolly, Light Poppy Parade SU300.

I used the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock. Then it was embossed using the splatters folder from the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folders bundle.

The sentiment, from the Supremely Awesome stamp set, was stamped on a 1/2″ strip of Basic White cardstock and then trimmed with the Banners Pick a Punch.

I took a length of Black & White Gingham Ribbon and created a triple loop bow. This was attached to the greeting banner using Mini Glue Dots.

The final step was to add some Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the lid.

What do you think of my GDP#404 entry?

Tomorrow I have this week’s Coffee & Card project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

WHEN A TACKLE BOX CAN BE SEEN AS SOMETHING DIFFERENT

When I first saw the Gone Fishing Dies, I didn’t picture a tackle box. I saw a makeup palette filled with sparkling eye shadows.

I made the makeup box using Basic Black cardstock and Foam Adhesive Strips. To help the foam strips ‘fit in’, I used the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends to colour ini the white sides.

I used the same sectioned die to cut the small coloured pieces. These were then given some gorgeous shimmer using the Wink of Stella Brush.

The greeting and die are both from the Something Fancy Bundle.

I added some of the 2023-2025 In Colour Dots to give the palette even more bling.

It took me three shops before I found these foam makeup sticks. I coloured them to match the palette. They were then secured using Mini Glue Dots.

I think the next project I amke with this Suite Collection is a shaker card – stay tuned.

Tomorrow I have a new project to share with you. It will feature the Just My Type Stamp Set.

Until then, happy stamping.
