WHERE DID THE LAST WEEK GO?

This time last week I ‘should’ have had one or two posts scheduled for you! That didn’t happen, nor did my Thursday through to Sunday posts. I wasn’t away on holidays or sitting on a beach relaxing. I was caught up busily getting ready for Sunday’s 2022 Annual Catalogue Launch.

The launch was cohosted by myself and Robyn Lawton, a fellow demonstrator. We spent a few weeks planinng, organising and creating for the day. Twelve lovely ladies joined us for 4 hours of creating, chatting and having fun.

We were able to use this amazing space at Lazer Unicorn. A huge thank you to Robyn’s daughter, Alex, for this opportunity.

Robyn and I spent Saturday afternoon setting up.

We set up four work stations – one for each of the projects we designed for the ladies to make.

There were two Product Playground stations where we had more new products for everyone to play with.

A table displaying other new products – it’s always better to see products in person. I made up DSP swatches – between the two of us, we had all the new DSP and specialty papers.

The lovely Narelle using the new In Colours to stamp a bookmark for her catalogue.

Karen gives the new Cracker & Treat Box Die a run.

Alene and Judy checking out some new products from the catalogue.

The first display table. We wanted to share lots of ideas for ways to use some of the new products.

Display table number 2.

The four projects and items that were in the goodies bags.

Gaye working her way through the catalogue for the Treasure Hunt.

Robyn stops by Table 4 to see how Emily, Olivia, Natalie and Meg are going with their project.

We had loads of give-aways. Every time a project was finsihed, we handed out raffle tickets. Throughout the day we drew tickets out and the winners were able to choose a product from the prizes box.

The winner of the Treasure Hunt received a spiral bound copy of the catalogue.

The lucky door proze was the Amazing Year Stamp Set, a pack of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and a roll of Rose Gold & White Striped Ribbon.

Sunday’s launch event was fantastic. I look forward to working with Robyn more in the future.

Now it’s time to clean up the aftermath and pack everything back to where it belongs.

I will back on Saturday to start a fresh week of crafting with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR A NEW CARD MAKING TECHNIQUE THIS TUESDAY

It has been loads of fun looking for different techniques to share each Tuesday. Today I have a colouring technique using bleach.

I used an Early Espresso card base and Early Espresso ink to stamp the large floral image on to the bottom left-hand corner of the card.

Two more were stamped on to smaller pieces of the Early Espresso cardstock and die cut.

Each of the floral images were then lightly ‘painted’ with bleach. This lightens the cardstock colour. In this instance, a dark chocolately pink was the result of bleach colouring.

The two bleached floral images were die cut before being scrunched to pop up on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I took the ledger-styled piece of DSP and cut it for the card front. Then I carefully tore a large curved shape that could be positioned across the top and down the side of the card front.

The birthday greeting was stamped and cut using the smaller banner die from the Sending Dies set.

Finally, I took a length of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, cut it in half lengthwise and tied it inot a tight bow with trimmed ends. A Mini Glue Dot holds the bow in place.

The card insert and envelope have some of the large floral image stamped using Early Espresso ink.

I’m not sure yet, but I may add some embellishments to the card. What do you think? What should I add?

Tomorrow is Wednesday – a wonderful day to share challenge and blog hop projects.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT IS MONDAY & TIME TO SHARE A SCRAPBOOKING PAGE DESIGNED FOR A MEMORY

When I looked at the Abigail Rose 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper, there was one design that I knew I wanted to use for a scrapbook layout. It is the sheet that looks like a vintage ledger page.

Here is the layout –

I strated by mounting this piece of DSP onto a 12″x 12″ Petal Pink cardstock to give the page reinforcement.

Then I cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock to 6-1/2″x 4-1/2″ as a background layer for a photo. I partially stamped the large floral image on the base DSP layer and then calculated where to stamp the ‘rest’ of the image on to the Petal Pink cardstock. I used Early Espresso ink for these stamped images.

Three more large flowers were stamped, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and then die cut. As soon as they dried, they were bent and crumpled a little. Stampin’ Dimensionals were positioned on the back. Then I positioned them on the page, as you can see.

Finally, I used the totally amazing new Alphabest Bundle – Alphabest Stamp Set and coordinating Best Label Punch. It was so quick and easy to stamp and punch out the ‘congratulations’ for this page.

The vintage ledger appearance of this DSP designed page is fantastic.

I can see this layout being used for a graduation scrapbook page and I know that I have some wonderful photos of both our daughters at their respective Bachelor’s graduation ceremonies.

This was a wonderful page layout to create. I will need to make a second one so that each of our daughters have the same graduation memory.

Tomorrow is Technique Tuesday and tomorrow I will be colouring with bleach.

Until then, happy stamping.
