HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF MY CRAFTING FRIENDS

I am pleased to be closing the door on 2022 and unlocking 2023.

Last year, I lreally enjoyed my regular crafting and sharing these projects here and on other social media platforms. I did this really consistently until early August when a few things happened to throw me off my plans.

If you scroll down from this post you will see that August 9th was my last post and I had stopped my Facebook Lives little earlier than that.

We did manage to enjoy some amazing travel experiences last year, so there were some great highlights.

In the lead up to Christmas and the new year, I have been getting myself prepared to reignite my enthusiasm and commitment to crafting.

Over the next month I will be sharing the JANUARY – APRIL MINI CATALOGUE and the JANUARY – FEBRUARY SALE-A-BRATION BROCHURE. Each of the two 2023 mini catalogues will only ‘run’ for 4 months. During this time I plan to show you lots of projects using new suites, bundles and products and the ways you can earn FREE SALE-A-BRATION PRODUCTS.

The new catalogues are available now and you can start ordering from January 5th. If you live in Australia and would like your own copy please contact me.

There are so many fantastic new products in the catalogue and brochure.

Tomorrow I will introduce you to the DAINTY DELIGHT BUNDLE.

I look forward to 2023 and all the creativity that we can share.

Until then, happy stamping.

RINGS WITH NATURE BUNDLE PROJECT

For today’s project I decided to team the Ringed with Nature Bundle with the FREE Rings of Love Designer Series Paper from the 2022 July – August Sale-a-bration Brochure.

The bundle comprises the Ringed with Nature Stamp Set and the coordinating Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and Tree Rings Dies.

RINGED WITH NATURE BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

The Designer Series Paper is gorgeous – full of wonderful Autumn colours. I decided to do lots and lots of fussy cutting for this card so that I could create a scene.

I fussy cut the leaves and acorns from around the outer edges of the DSP to adhere to the sides of the Basic White panel. One full leaves and acorns bunch was cut to add to the card as well.

I embossed and cut several crosscut timber sections using the hybrid embossing folder and dies. These were layered and popped up across the bottom of white panel.

Then I adhered the many multicoloured mushrooms I had fussy cut.

The sentiment was stamped in Crushed Curry before being trimmed down to a smaller rectangle. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the sentiment and popped it up on the card front.

The acorns and mushroom tops were painted with some Clear Wink of Stellar to make them sparkle. The last thing I did was tie a small bow using some Linen Thread.

The colours in the Designer Series Paper collection are just amazing. I love the leaves and the mushrooms.

Ever since Stampin’ Up!® introduced their Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies, I have loved using them to create perfectly embossed and cut project elements.

Tomorrow I will have a Colour INKspiration Challenge project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

WATER COLOUR WASHED WOOLLENS

The cardigan image in the Forever Friendship Stamp Set is so cute. I decided to use my Water Painters to colour the background and the cardigans with three of the new 2022 -2024 In Colours – Parakeet Party, Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet.

I love the play on words in the sentiment!

The water colour wash across the background looks great with all the variation in tones. For the water colouring I used Shimmery White card stock.

Before placing the coloured panel on the card base, I cut two scalloped pieces using the Penned Flowers Dies and adhered them to each side. Then I glued it down.

I stamped three cardigans, using StazOn ink, and then coloured each of them. With water colouring I was able to give each cardigan areas of light and dark, as well as a much darker trim.

My Dark Basic Black Blends pen was perfect for featuring the buttons.

After some fussy cutting, the cardigans were popped up on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in each of the three colours then I trimmed them down using one of Celebrations Tag Dies. I like it when I can use a label die, like this one, and I can shorten or lengthen the cut.

To finish the card, I stamped the cardigan in Starry Sky inside the card and on the envelope. Then I added some of the 2022 2024 IN Colour Matte Decorative Dots.

These are most of the products I used to make this card.

I’m not sure what I will share tomorrow – it will be a surprise, both to me and you.

Until then, happy stamping.
