WEDNESDAY IS A WONDERFUL DAY TO SHARE A THIRD PROJECT!

This time, it is a project that I made for the Colour INKspiration #119. I am enjoying being part of the Design Crew.

This colour palette is so sweet – thank goodness I am featuring the Gumball Greetings Bundle this week. It is prefectly sweet way to showcase these colours.

May be an image of text that says 'Fresh Freesia #119 Flirty Flamingo Magenta Madness Pool Party Gold COLOUR NksPIRATION SPIRATION CHA CHALLIINGES'

I decided to create a slimline card for this project.

I started by stamping three of the small gumball machines using Versamark on Basic White cardstock. After sprinkling gold embossing powder, from the Metallic Stampin’ Emboss Powders™, across the three gumball machines and shaking off any excess I heat embossed the powder.

Before die cutting the three small gumball machines; I used the Fresh Freesia, Flirty Flamingo, Magenta Madness and Pool Party Stampin’ Write Markers™ to colour most of the gumballs in each machine.

I prepared the slimline card by cutting a cardbase from Thick Basic White A4 cardstock measuring 8-1/2″x 7″ and scoring the 7″ side at 3-1/2″.

I scored three lines on the bottom edge of the card front, at 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ from that bottom edge.

Using a 8-1/2″x 2-3/8″ piece of Gold Shimmer Vellum, I created this shiny gold background for the gumball machines.

The sentiment was also stamped and heat embossed in gold. I used two of the new banner dies, from the Stylish Shapes Dies, for the sentimment and a gold accent.

I tied a gold double bow using the Simply Elegant Trim bundle and secured it with a Mini Glue Dot. Finally, a few Gilded Gems were added to the card front.

It was fun using these colours with the Gumball Greetings Bundle.

Make sure you check out the Colour INKspiration Facebook page to see all the projects made for this challenge. Even better, you should join us. I look forward to seeing what you make.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday and I think my project will involve gumballs.

Until then, happy stamping.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY AND TIME FOR MY FRESHLY BREWED PROJECTS CREATION

Whew … it is an hour and 10 minutes before this post will go live. I finished my project 5 mnutes ago. That’s calling it close.

May be an image of coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJEGTS'

The theme this week is use Acetate/Window Sheets in our projects … can be a shaker card, window card, peek thru or even just an acetate layer that has been stamped or embossed.

Because I have left this project until the last moment, I decided to use one of the soon to be retired acetate packaging boxes – C6 Acetate Card Boxes.

I assembled the box, adding Mini Glue Dots to hold the base inserts in place.

I made a 4-1/4″ belly band, using the new Parakeet Party 2022 – 2024 In Colour A4 cardstock, and fitted it around the acetate box.

Using the Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon, I wrapped the ribbon around the box three times and tied a bow.

I used all the 2022 – 2024 In Colours to stamp, colour and die cut the gumballl machine.

The sentiment was stamped in Parakeet Party and was then cut using one of the square Stylish Shapes Dies.

The machine and sentiment pieces were then placed on the belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The last thing I did was to fill the acetate box with SKittles Giants.

This was a quick, easy and fun project to make for this blog hop.

Make sure that you see what the other Freshly Brewed Project Team members have created.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday, however my post will be a little later in the day.

Until then, happy stamping.

WEDNESDAY IS A WONDERFUL DAY TO SHARE CHALLENGE PROJECTS

For my first post today I have the project I have made for this week’s #338 Global Design Project challenge. It is a SKETCH CHALLENGE.

Make sure that you click on the graphic below, to go to the Global Design Project page and see what this amazing group of paper crafters have made.

I am still featuring the Gumball Greetings Bundle, so I needed to adapt the layout of this sketch for my card. Thankfully, one of the GDP team turned her card from landscape to portrait. This made me feel more at ease with my project.

I used the new 2022 – 2024 In Colours to create this slimline card. The card base measures 8-1/2″x 7″ before being scored at 3-1/2″.

The Orchid Oasis circle was cut using the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. This wcircle was then embossed using the dots folder from the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders.

For the gumball machine, I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, to stamp the machine base and lid on to Parakeet Party cardstock. The gumball dome was stamped in black on Basic White cardstock. Each of these three parts were then die cut.

I used all 5 new In Colours to stamp the gumballs inside the dome. These new colours are wonderfully vibrant.

Then I glued the three parts together.

The gumball machine was attached to the embossed circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was masked and stamped three times to allow me to cut it into three seperate pieces. I placed dimensionals under each word and then secured them to the card front.

A length of Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon was tied in a double bow and fixed in place with a Mini Glue Dot.

Finally, I added three Starry Sky Matte Decorative Dots to the front of the card.

It has been fun using the Gumball Greetings Bundle in different ways, with different colours, over the last few days.

Knowing that I can use existing and new products together has always made me confident with the way in which Stampin’ Up!® coordinate so well.

I hope that you like this card – and, the one to follow later today.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday. I’ll be back then with a new project to share.

Until then, happy stamping.
