PEONY #3

This card uses the lovely SOFT SEA FOAM card stock and, more importantly, the new DAINTY DIAMONDS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.

The DAINTY DIAMONDS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER leaves a stunning impression on card stock.

I stamped and coloured the floral image, from the PRIZED PEONY STAMP SET, using stamped-off Crumb Cake for the flower and then I coloured it using Petal Pink and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends pens.

After I stamped and coloured the floral element, I fussy cut it and then popped it up onto a die cut outline of the flower.

The rest is pretty easy to unpack – sentiment stamped onto Whisper White card and die cut using one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies; Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, and Elegant Faceted Gems.

So – what do you think? I hope you leave a comment sharing your thoughts!

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

MY NEW CRAFTING SPACE

When we moved from Bargara to Kangaroo Point, I had to farewell my purpose built craft room.

It took a little while to figure how I was going to have a new crafting space but I had some ideas.

Several years ago I had seen an advertisement, in our Sunday newspaper, for a shop in Brisbane called The Comfort Shop.

They stock clever Italian wall beds made by Clei.

We ordered the LGM02 when it was on sale (thank goodness for 25% discount).

This is what my space looks like –

There is lots of shelf space – I even let Rob have a shelf for his books (there are still books in storage). There is a full shelf under the desk level and two partial shelves on the lower level.

I now have great lights for filming and photography. They fold away easily and have a carry bag – so, when we have guests I will definitely put them away.

Do you like our polished concrete ceilings? I love them.

The table folds down and then I can turn the bookcase around to expose the bed. This video shows you how it works.

I also have a Kallax unit that I assembled. It has some Ikea inserts and I have just ordered inserts from Colcraft for paper storage. Hopefully, they will be here by the end of August.

And that’s the view from this room.

The two restaurant table number stands are used to hold up a length of textured wallpaper, to create an endless background, for taking photos. My father was a professional photographer and I learned about endless backgrounds at a young age.

I’m storing my card stock scraps in the drawers and extra supplies in the cupboards. There’s still a little organising to do, but the space is coming together well.

I’m a happy stamper now!

PEONY GIFT BOX

This is the third project, I made on Tuesday, using the PEONY GARDEN BUNDLE.

It is a 4″x 4″x 2″ gift box.

I totally love the emboss and cut scallop die from the PEONY DIES.

Another thing that I love about this suite is the colour combination. The Pretty Pink and Whisper White, in this piece of Designer Series, paper is gorgeous.

I think that you can figure out each of the elements – heat embossed floral image, Whisper White .5″ Faux Linen Ribbon, Elegant Faceted Gems.

What would you pop into this gift box? Leave a message and let me know.
