A CHRISTMAS CARRIER

The MINI COFFEE CARRIERS and the coordinating MINI COFFEE CUPS are very cute and can be used for all sorts of gifts.

I decided to use them to make this gift cup carrier.

I used one of the WRAPPED IN TEXTURE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDERS to add texture to pieces of Real Red cardstock and then adhered it to the outside of the coffee carrier.

Then, I adhered a length of 1″ SHADED SPRUCE ARGYLE SATIN RIBBON from the WONDER OF THE SEASON RIBBON COMBO and finished it with a loop/roll at the end.

Five stamped, coloured and fussy cut holly clusters feature on the front. I used CLEAR OF OF STELLA to gime them some shimmer.

TH ecarrier was finished with the stamped and die cut sentiment, some REAL RED WONDERFUL GEMS and a SHEER RIBBON bow.

The coffee cups are wrapped in pieces of ‘TIS THE SEASON DSP. One of the designs needed to be holly to tie in to the carrier’s decoration.

Using dies, from the WARM WRAPS DIES, I cut and then embossed the cup wraps. The OLD WORLD PAPER 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER leaves such a great texture.

I really like the die that created the donut shaped pieces – I think I’m going to experiment with other ways to use this die.

I plan to fill the cups with Christmas goodies, like apricot and rum balls. Christmas in Australia does have the climate for hot chocolate or other warm drinks.

Now I need to make a few more for my Christmas table.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

SEASIDE NOTIONS

This is the first time I have used this stamp set although it has been in my collection for a while.

Another first – I thought that I would make a diorama card.

Seaside Spray is the perfect colour to use with this stamp set to create a marine vista.

I made the card base first and die cut the diorama space for the inside of the card, using STITCHED RECTANGLE DIES. The scene was achieved using Crumb Cake and Terracotta Tile inks on Crumb Cake card stock.

The seahorses and shells were stamped in Crumb Cake on the same coloured card stock. Then they were fussy cut and received a liberal application of Clear Wink of Stella.

For the front of card, the vellum was embossed using the SEABED 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER. The seabed is framed by a Seaside Spray piece of card stock die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The BRAIDED LINEN TRIM is looped around the frame and used to tie the card closed. I have also used it inside the card.

And, finally some embellishments.

I’m going to miss SEASIDE SPRAY when it retires next year. It is such a gorgeous subtle blue.

What is your favourite 2019-2021 IN COLOUR?

I think the STITCHED RECTANGLE DIES are probably the most useful and versatile sets of dies in the ANNUAL CATALOGUE.

I’m happy with way this diorama card turned out – I may well make some more.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

BACK TO IT!

My last post was a week ago – oops!

The school holidays started a week ago and Rob has these two weeks at home. So, it was a perfect opportunity to order a second bookcase from Ikea and have him help me collect it, although I assembled it.

It was fun spending time rearranging my crafting supplies and need to get three more storage bins to finish.

I made a couple of cards over the weekend, so this morning I photographed the projects ready to post today and schedule another post for tomorrow.

It’s certainly a bit messy but this is my set up when I take photos. I use two tall table number stands and a length of textured wallpaper to create an endless background. There are two lights on adjustable stands – and, as you can see, a floor that needs to be vacuumed.

For the first one I decided to use the TASTEFUL TOUCHES BUNDLE.

I began by stamping the feather image onto the card front using Versamark and Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder before using the heat tool. This gives it a glossy version same colour as the card stock – Soft Sea Foam.

The three Very Vanilla panels began as a 3.75″ square that I stamped using Versamark and Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder again. When finished, I cut the piece into equal thirds.

I repeated the process using a 4″ x 2.25″ piece of card and die cut it with one of the TASTEFUL LABELS DIES. Then I stamped the feather over the heat embossed images.

As you can see, I have used the same die to cut the label that has the sentiment and feather stamped on it. I trimmed the right hand side to align with the edge of the card.

The flower was fussy cut and CLEAR WINK OF STELLA added. The final touch was to add a few embellishments.

This is a such a lovely card to send to someone to reach out and reconnect.

Who would you send it to?
