JUST A QUICK UPDATE

I have uploaded this month’s HOST CODE – it is  TTCMM6XH.

What is that you ask?

When placing an order under $250 through my online store be sure to add the monthly host code when completing your transaction, you will see a box on the lower left of the screen.

Each month a new code is generated and posted on my website and soon to be sent in a newsletter. By adding the host code you receive a little thank you gift and handmade card posted to you the following month.

There is more information under the header Shop or Join Now above.

Now, I mentioned a newsletter just before. I have just added a NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTION FORM and will be emailing my first newsletter (in years) using Mailchimp as my platform. So, if you would like to receive regular information, ideas and project instructions look for it in the header About mmm and you will find it in my drop down menu.

I look forward to adding this new feature to my business.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

GLEAMING GIFT CARD HOLDER

At a recent demonstrator team event I took part in swaps and received a gift card holder (and I do not have the name of the person who made it).

I decided to CASE it and use different Christmas Designer Series Paper – the CHRISTMAS GLEAMING SPECIALTY DSP.

It uses a half sheet of A4 cardstock (11″ x 4.125″). The first time I made one, I used Thick Whisper White cardstock – wrong choice. It was difficult to get crisp folds because it was so thick.

The COPPER FOIL SHEETS coordinate perfectly with the paper I chose from the DSP pack.

The holly sprigs, from the CHRISTMAS GLEAMING STAMP SET, were stamped and coloured before I fussy cut them.

The greeting is from the GIFT WRAPPED STAMP SET and the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES were used for the scalloped and stitched rectangle shape.

The scalloped copper foil insert was achieved by using one of the dies from the PEONY DIES.

The card was finished off with a piece of METALLIC BRAID and some METALLIC PEARLS.

Now, it’s time to make some more of these gift card holders for the upcoming new markets at Kangaroo Point.

What do you think?

HEY THERE, PUMPKIN!

So for today’s project I used my HARVEST HELLOS STAMP SET for the first time.

As Thanksgiving approaches for everyone in North America (October 12th in Canada and 26th November in the USA), I thought that I would use the pumpkin stamp for this card.

When Rob and I were last in North America, we loved the fall colours and the incredible ways people decorated their homes for Thanksgiving. Front porches, doors and front yards were stunningly pumpkin filled spaces.

The pumpkins were stamped using Pumpkin Pie cardstock and ink before being punched out using the APPLE BUILDER PUNCH. Then, I added texture by running the pumpkins through the STAMPIN’ CUT & EMBOSS MACHINE using the TASTEFUL TEXTILES 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.

I coloured the leaves by using the Garden Green Watercolour Pencil from the WATERCOLOUR PENCILS ASSORTMENT 2 and a blender pen.

Sending Thanksgiving best wishes to everyone.
