OOPS … I MISSED A DAY!

Hello and welcome to today’s post. I am delighted that you’re here.

I missed posting yesterday because I spent the day crafting with the Paper Angels team. Although I am not a member of the team, I have been invited to their events for the last 18 months. It is such a fun and creative day.

I made two swaps to share and received many swaps in return.

The first is one that I shared on my blog a little while ago. I thought this would be a great card to make to share in a swap.

The second swap I made was a 3D project. I was out doing grocery shopping when I found 3D cupcake gummies in the confectionery aisle and I knew they would be perfect to pop inside the Mini Jam Jars.

No photo description available.

The cupcake from the Sweets & Treats Stamp Set was perfect for the lid of the jar. I stamped, coloured and cut the cupcake label using the Layering Circles Dies. I also used one of the scalloped circles from the set to cut a Bermuda Bay layer.

I wrapped a Bermuda Bay belly band around the jar and then added another label with the stamped sentiment.

I used Stampin’ Blends to colour some Clear Epoxy Essentials. The cupcake was also painted with Clear Wink of Stella.

Here I am with the amazing ladies I crafted with Peta, Caroline, me, Jenny, Danielle and Nicole (left to right).

As you can see, there was also an amzing display of projects shared by five team members.

One of things we do for the event is to make a name tag that reflects the training day theme – Treat Yourself/Gingerbread & Peppermint.

To Bec, Anna and Liz – thank you for inviting me and allowing me to be an adoptee of your teams. It was an amazing day and I met such amazing ladies.

Until next time, happy stamping.

THANK YOU

Hello and welcome to Friday! I am delighted that you have taken some time to pop by today.

Today I have a project that I made for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #107.

May be an image of fruit and text that says '#107 So Saffron InkSPRATION L COLOUR SPIRATION CHALLENGES Rich Razzleberry Blackberry Bliss Mossy Meadow'

I think this is one of the best colour combinations that Colour INKspiration has challenged us with. The photo, chosen by Cheryl Miller, is such a great source of inspiration. I love the succulent combination of fruits!

I decided to use the Nature’s Harvest and Textures & Frames Stamp Sets for this project.

I started by placing the irregular lines image, from Textures & Frames, on my Stamparatus. This way, I knew that I could create an evenly spaced background layer. After each stamped image I cleaned the stamp, re-inked it in the next colour and used the hinge step technique to progress the background down the Basic White piece of card.

As soon as the first side was completed, I rotated the card and repeated the stamping sequence. Then I trimmed this background layer, as you can see.

The Mossy Meadow card layer was passed through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered the stamped Basic White layer, over the embossed Mossy Meadow layer, at an angle.

Then I stamped, coloured and die cut the floral image. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop this up over the stamped background.

The sentiment was stamped and die cut from items in the same bundle.

I stamped the flower inside the card and on the envelope. Then I added some Artistry Blooms Sequins to the card and also tied a double bow using Linen Thread and Basic White Twine.

This is quite different to most cards I make and I am really pleased with the end result. What do you think?

Until next time, happy stamping.

TIME FOR A MASCULINE CARD

Hello and welcome. Thanks for popping by today.

I have a masculine birthday card to share with you.

The ties, from the Handsomely Suited Stamp Set, were stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed using the white from the Basics Stampin’ Emboss Powders. The four ties were stamped onto the Night of Navy card layer. I stamped and embossed two more ties to fussy cut and pop up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a strip of paper, from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, under the stamped panel.

The birthday greeting, from the same stamp set, was also stamped and heat embossed before it was trimmed down and placed on the card.

One of the tie images was also stamped on the card insert and envelope.

Then I added three Clear Epoxy Essentials on the front of the card for a subtle touch of ‘boy bling’.

It has been quite a while since I have used this stamp set and I definitely need to use it more.

Today’s post is just a quick one so that I can make a few more projects and schedule some posts for the next few days.

Until next time , happy stamping.
