TODAY’S PROJECT IS ANOTHER FOLD OUT, POP UP CHRISTMAS CARD

The card today measures 6″x 3 1/8″ and has six internal fold out panels.

This card has a Balmy Blue exterior and White Willow interior and exterior panels.

For this card I used the Traditional Labels Bundle,North Pole Delivery Specialty DSP and Pop Up Petals Dies.

For the front of the card, I adhered a SDSP panel before securing three lengths of the Real Red & White Baker’s Twine.

The greeting was stamped in Pecan Pie and die cut. A Real Red banner was also die cut and trimmed before placing behind the greeting. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to give these layers dimension on the card front.

Then I added elements from the SDSP pack – two pre-cut Christmas shops and three fussy cut envelopes. Finally, I added some of the Real Red & White Peppermint embellishments.

Inside the card, I staggered the pop ups diagonally – the first is 1″ from the top of the white insert, the second/middle is 2 /8″ from the top, and the last was 1″ from the bottom.

The inernal panels were decorated with the DSP, pre cut elements and fussy cut envelopes.

On the back of the card I added two White Whisper panels, a DSP gift card pocket and some further pre cut elements.

There are so many more ways that I want to use the Pop Up Petals Bundle – but, I’ll save them for now.

Tomorrow I have a 3D project to share with you – I know that it isn’t 3D Thursday and should be Fun Fold Friday – but who cares!

Until then, happy stamping.

ANOTHER CHRISTMAS POP UP CARD TO SHARE THIS WEDNESDAY

The card I want to share today is a larger version of yesterday’s fold out pop up card.

The card measures 6″x 3 1/8″ and has 6 fold out panels.

I used Real Red for the card base and White Willow for the insert. (Note: be careful scoring the two-tone card as it isn’t quite a ‘thick’ as the Basic white and can tear more easily.)

I used a length of White Ribbon to create the card closure.

The Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Joyful Days Memories & More pack were used to decorate the card panels.

The three pop up segments were cut the same distance from the bottom.

The front of the card had a greeting from one of the Memories & More cards. It was trimmed down to fit the DSP panel.

Finally I added two baubles and two bunches of mistletoe to complete the card.

The card I will share with you tomorrow will have three pop up panels staggered diagonally.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR A TUESDAY CRAFTING TREAT

As mentioned yesterday, I am featuring the Pop UP Petals bundels this week.

I recently watched a Facebook video from Sara Douglass, Stampin’ Up! CEO. In this video she shared a fold-out card using the Pop Up Petals Dies.

The finished card measures 3 1/4″x 3 1/8″ and has 6 fold out pages.

Here is a link to her video: https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=2011017319662292

For my version, I used Basic White and Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

The Cherry Cobbler outer layer was made using two pieces of card – 9 5/8″x 3 1/4″ (scored at 3 1/8″, 6 1/8″ and 9 1/8″) and 9 1/8″x 3 1/4″ (scored at 3″ and 6″).

The Basic White inner layer was made using two pieces of card – 12″x 3″ (scored at 3″, 6″ and 9″) and 6 1/2″x 3″ (scored at 1/2″ and 3 1/2″).

I used the large die to create the three pop up panels across the Basic White card insert.

After burnishing all the fold lines, the insert was adhered inside the card cover.

To complete the card I used the Christmas Tags & More Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper, Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera and White Ribbon.

To decorate the inside of the card Icut the word ‘merry’ using the Party ALphabet Dies and Adhesive Sheets.

After making this card, I decided to create a larger version of it – 6″x 3 1/8″.

I will share them with you over the next 2 days.

Until then, happy stamping.
