TRAVEL DOES A WORLD OF GOOD

Rob and I had plans to travel later this year; with destinations including the UK, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

We love to travel and learn about new countries and cultures – and that does us a world of good!

Although these plans are now on hold, we are happy to be healthy and safe.

Thank goodness for the new WORLD OF GOOD SUITE to help us preserve our travel memories and create travel inspired cards and projects.

Today I created several cards and gift boxes that I will post over the coming days. Here is the first one.

One of the features of this suite is that there are two stamps and dies showing each half of the world. So, of course, I decided to use the half that includes Australia!

The DSP sheets with brass foil features are stunning.

For this card I featured the CINNAMON CIDER IN COLOUR in card stock and DSP.

The DSP is especially lovely and I cut a piece depicting the UK – one of the 2020-2022 IN COLOUR ENAMEL DOTS is placed close to where POOTLES lives, between Petersborough and Cambridge.

I am so happy with the way the copper foil looked after I embossed it.

The texture of the 1/4″ FAUX SUEDE TRIM is so close to the real thing.

What do you think? Leave me a comment and you may be surprised.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, you can order any of these products through me.

ALWAYS …

The FIELD OF FLOWERS STAMP SET is just amazing!

There are so many ways to use the sentiments, which makes this set so versatile … your sentiment begins with ALWAYS and then you can choose from a range of words to finish.

For this card I chose “Always … Believe”.

Then there are the floral and botanical stamps!

I decided to use a piece of the 2020-2022 IN COLOUR 6″ X 6″ DSP and stamp the floral image using Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

This is my favourite feature of this card. What do you think?

This technique was also applied to Basic Black card stock, using three different stamps. The “Believe” sentiment was stamped, in Versamark, onto Whisper White card stock and heat embossed in black.

I added some ribbons and stamped the inside of the card and the envelope.

It is so easy to use lots and lots of colours; but, I often like to use just three or four – here, I have used BASIC BLACK, JUST JADE and WHISPER WHITE.

What do you think?

I would love to read your feedback – in fact, for those of you who leave a comment, I will select one of you to send the card to!

CALENDAR UPDATE

Wow … it’s been two weeks since I hosted my Catalogue Launch … where does the time go??

… and it is only a week until our first monthly class featuring the new catalogue … this month is …

JARS IN JULY

Before I worked on the cards for our July class, I wanted to make some shaker jars … and this is the result – my SHAKER JARS CARD IN A BOX … using some retired buttons alongside new Floral Boutique Designer Washi Tape, a Swirly Birds stamp and other current and new products …

IMG_1602

This card was inspired by Sharon Burkert [As the Ink Dries] … I love the new In Colours … especially Dapper Denim and Flirty Flamingo!

… and this card was inspired by the ‘guess the number of lollies in the jar’ fundraisers everyone has experienced – whether it is jelly beans or gumballs – who can ever guess the correct number?

… and the final project is a 3×3 gift card … these cards are becoming a favourite of mine … a little something special for those “small” day to day events!

So … July is all about JARS …

check out what is happening over the next few months by opening the link to WHAT’S ON @ STAMPIN’ TIME … loads of fun and creativity between now and Christmas …

Enjoy …
