THURSDAY IS TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

Today’s 3D project is a 3″x 3″x 3″ cube gift box with a fold over lid.

I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock to create the box.

I carefully cut one of the DSP designs to ensure the pattern of the design aligned around the boc.

After adhering the DSP panels to the box I punched a slot for the ribbon and then constructed the box.

I coloured a length of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and tied it around the box and tied a bow.

The greeting was stamped and cut using one of the Spotlight on Nature Dies. A Blackberry Bliss was cirlce was alos cut using another of the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

The two circles were joined using Stampin’ Dimensionals and then, after adding more dimensionals to the Blackberry Bliss circle, I positioned the circles over the ribbon on the top of the box.

The final touch was to colour some Metallic Gems to add to the lid of the box.

Tomorrow I have a Fun Fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEDNESDAY

Last June, Stampin’ Up! introduced a new blog on their US website. You can find it now by clicking on the logo below.

Take the time to check it out and find loads of inspiration.

Today’s card was inspired by an image on the Stampin’ Up! Online Store. I decided to CASE it (copy and share everything).

I kept most of the features of the original card (above) but added my own spin.

I used an additional panel of the Designer Series Paper and switched the arrangement of the DSP and cardstock.

I used three of the tall, textured and die cut vases. Two were coloured using blending brushes and Peach Pie and Secret Sea ink.

Before placing the vases on the card front I stamped, cut and coloured the three different leaf stems and adhered them to the back of the vases.

The card insert and back of the envelope both had the Cloud Cover DSP added.

The greeting was stamped and cut with one of the banner dies.

Finally I added some Metallic Gems to the card front.

Tomorrow I have a 3D gift box to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TUESDAY IS ALL ABOUT TIPS & TECHNIQUES

Today I have a shaker card to share with you. It is a great technique that suits so many products.

As I am featuring the Celebratory Sips Suite Collection, I decided to make a card with three cut out glasses to show the shaker elements.

I die cut the three glasses and then secured a window sheet panel behind it.

Using Foam Adhesive Sheets, I created a border to hold the shakers elements in place and an outer border to hold the shaker elements in place.

I filled the shaker space with lots of images that I fussy cut from a sheet of DSP.

An extra Basic White panel was placed behind the card front and shaker elements. Then I adhered this shaker layer to a Granny Apple Green card base.

The greeting was stamped in Versamark, and then heat embossed with the Ebony Wow Embossing Powder, three times.

Using one of the square dies, from the Stylish Shapes Dies, was used to cut the greetings down to perfectly sized rectangles.

I used Multipurpose Glue to glue them in place and a Mini Glue Dot to attach each end to the wondow sheet.

Using more of the fussy cut images, I decorated the card front, card insert and back of the envelope.

Finally, I added some of the black Classic Matte Dots to the card front.

With the DSP in this collection it is very easy to step this shaker card up to another level.

Essentially the same card but I added some colour behind the shaker space before adding the shaker elements.

The greeting was created in the same way ut was cut using one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes.Dies.

The card insert and back of the envelope had fussy cut glasses added.

To finish the card I added some Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix sequins to the front of the card.

It’s always fun to ‘recreate’ a card design but step it up a bit.

Tomorrow I have a ‘CASEd’ card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
