A VERY CURVY BIRTHDAY

The second project I made during my Facebook Live on Wednesday and it is blue and glittery!

The BALMY BLUE GLIMMER PAPER card front was die cut using the ‘eyelet’ style die. To fill the space, between the die cut edges, I used a piece of WINDOW SHEET.

The greeting was stamped on the Whisper White card insert. I also stamped a bird from the BIRDS & BRANCHES STAMP SET inside the card.

At first, I wanted to die cut the branch and a bird from the BIRDS & BRANCHES DIES using some RAINBOW GLIMMER PAPER but its sparkle didn’t quite match. So, instead I used the BLACK GLITTER PAPER.

While, at first, I was a bit doubtful about the colour combination I quite like my little blackbird.

The style of this card is quite unusual for me, but I really like to use all of our amazing Stampin’ Up! products in different ways. I want to mix things up – challenge myself – think outside the box – think of different ways to use products – combine different products to see how they work together.

My eldest daughter celebrates a milestone birthday at the end of November. For many, many years she danced and one of her solos was an amazing tap to a contemporary rendition of ‘Bye Bye Blackbird’. So I will add the milestone number to the card front and set it aside for her.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, you can order any of them through me.

MAKING IMPROVEMENTS!

During my Facebook Live last Wednesday I made a few card ‘on the fly’. I had a couple of ideas for using the LOTS TO CELEBRATE STAMP SET.

Well, if you want to see what it’s like to make lots of mistakes that need to be fixed LIVE!

Check it out – it’s a hoot – https://www.facebook.com/mmmstampintime/videos/1472831629773734/

My first card was a case of adhesive errors and sticky fingers. The end result was alright but not my best work.

This next cards definitely needs to have a makeover!

The blank white under the mason jar domes is too bland and the spacing between the jars is off.

Tomorrow, I’ll show the final result of my second attempt.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make the first card. If you live in Australia, you can order any f them through me.

HOORAY TO YOU

Happy Birthday!

I made this colourful birthday card using the HOORAY TO YOU STAMP SET that is in the Beginner Catalogue. There are great products in this catalogue and they are perfect for all stampers.

I coloured the balloon by inking up an acrylic block using Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pads on each third.

Using the same colours, and adding in Pacific Point, I stamped a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock to create a background layer.

The rhinestones were coloured to coordinate, using Stampin’ Blends.

I can’t wait to send this someone special soon.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
