Making Progress

Well … as you can see, I have been playing around in WordPress. I liked the colours and paisley style of the original design but thought it was too busy for my page, so it was time to look for something different.

For the moment, I’m using one of the designs from Stampin’ Up’s Watercolour Wonder DSP range that I downloaded through MDS (My Digital Studio). The layout still needs some tweaking – need to change the title to include lower case letters, figure out how to extend the background design to remove the join lines … Despite these few things, I’m really happy with what I’ve achieved so far.

I even managed to add new pages across the top menu bar so that I can direct people to catalogues, ordering, images and joining – the next task to achieve.

All in all – not bad for someone with limited tech savvy!

On holidays!

I’m so excited to be on holidays after a very busy year! Now I have time to get back to my challenge from September – ‘dust off’ the Dummies Guide and actually learn to use my blog more effectively and frequently.

So – the goal is to give this site a makeover, add lots of links, post regularly and begin to add projects that I have been working on. I have five weeks to do this, so wish me luck and check out my progress!

Brave New World!

I’m armed with the ‘Dummies Guide to WordPress’ e-book set and have set myself the challenge of teaching myself how to use wordpress and host a website/blog.

For those of you who know me well, you will know that this may well be beyond my abilities. I just hope that there is truth in the idea that ‘you are never to old to learn new tricks’.

Stay posted and we will see how well I progress.
