KEY HOLE SAND DOLLAR CARD

Hello to each of you. I’m so pleased that you have taken the time to pop by.

Today I want to share a second card using the SAND & SEA SUITE.

When I saw the stamps and DSP, I went into research mode to discover the names of the shells featured. The ‘shell’ I’ve featured for today’s project is a key hole sand dollar.

I chose this piece of SAND & SEA DESIGNER SERIES PAPER design because I like the motled light pink and white toned background with the overlapping shells in two toned Flirty Flamingo and White.

I used my STAMPARATUS to stamp the shell onto Flirty Flamingo card stock. Two of them were stamped using Flirty Flamingo and Basic Gray. I cleaned the stamp and then used Versamark and Clear Stampin’ Embossing Powder so that I could heat it and create a shiny finish. The third one used Versamark and White Stampin’ Embossing Powder. The image was also stamped on the inside of the card and on the envelope.

The greeting is from the FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS STAMP SET. I used the POTTED SUCCULENTS DIES to cut the sentiment.

For the final touches of bling, I brushed some CLEAR WINK OF STELLA across the shells and added some ELEGANTED FACETED GEMS.

This is a beautiful birthday card and I look forward to sending it to a friend later in the year. #makeacardsendacard

DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STRIPS

Hello to those of you who have popped by today to see my latest project. I hope you like what you see.

For this card I cut 1″ strips of FLOWERING CACTUS DSP and then used the new TREASURED TAGS PICK A PUNCH.

TREASURED TAGS PICK A PUNCH

The range of PICK A PUNCH punches are so versatile and this one is no different. You can choose from two banner end shapes and three different widths. That gives you 6 different options.

The Pear Pizzazz panel was given this texture by using the TASTEFUL TEXTILE3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.

The punched strips of DSP were then glued onto the embossed card stock at various heights and angles.

The cactus and flower were fussy cut from a piece of the DSP.

I used the TREASURED TAGS PUNCH again for the sentiment, which I think is such a wonderful thing to say to someone.

If I make this card a second time, I think that I would skip the embossing and use dimensionals on some of the DSP strips to lift them off the card front. What do you think? What else would you suggest?

Happy stamping.

IS IT A CACTUS OR A PICKLE?

Hello and welcome back to day 5 of cactus cards. After today, only three more to go. Then I want you to tell me which one is your favourite.

I created a textured, background card panel by using one of the FLOWERING CACTUS DIES. It gives the appearance of being prickly.

I die cut two of the different cactus shapes from this panel. The pickle-looking cactus was sponged around the edges and then popped up onto dimensionals and placed it back in its originl place.

The ‘heart’ shape cactus was die cut from DSP and popped up also.

Both of the linen threads from the product medley were used to tie the layered bow.

I’m not sure what types of flowers these different cactii have in nature, but for my card Calypso Coral felt is perfect.

When I showed one of my daughters this card, she took a photo and sent it to a friend because her friend says ‘Kind people are my kind of people’. It is such a small world.

I love it when I can imagine a new card design before I start and it turns out even better when I’ve finished the project.

Happy stamper – happy stamping.
